SCHOOL ASSOCIATED WITH BRITISH COUNCIL FOR VALUE ORIENTED EXPERIANTIAL LEARNING • RPS International School, Sector 50 Gurugram kicked off its first ever British Council: International School Award Activities with an in - house collaborative activity based on theme ‘Tribal Artistry of India and Australia’. The main aim of introducing ISA is to embed global curriculum and prepare pupils with skills for life as it offers a plethora of new opportunities in a global economy. S tudents from class III to IX enthusiastically participated in the brainstorming session conducted by the respective class teachers . They shared their informative research with their peers on the said theme. Classroom boards were prepared to set the tone for learning. • ISA Opens a window for students to other countries and cultures, giving teachers and pupils a new outlook on the world.

RPS International School, Sector 50(Gurugram) began the new session on a grand note when the world class shooting range ‘Olympia Shooting Academy’ was inaugurated by the Olympic laureate Mr. Manjeet Singh Sandhu. A Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee and Arjuna Awardee, Mr. Sandhu is former World No. 1 Trap Shooter. It was a truly inspirational moment for RPSians when the shooting Academy was inaugurated by a renowned international shooter. The occasion was also graced by the presence of Mr. Lakshay Sheoran, the Indian Sport Shooter who secured silver medal in shooting in the Asian Games 2018. Mr. Manish Rao, The CEO, RPS Group of Schools also graced the occasion. Mr. Sandhu was all praise for the school infrastructure and the name that RPS group has earned in the field of education. He also motivated the students saying that he hopes that the school churns out international stars in shooting in the times to come. The first day of the session at RPS Gurugram, Sector 50 had an exuberant beginning. Smartly attired in flawless school uniform, RPSians began their day on an auspicious note in the morning assembly. The school premises reverberated with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra and prayer recital. The school principal Ms. Bindu Gupta welcomed the students in the new session. She also urged the old students to make the new students comfortable. Introducing the class teachers to the students, she instructed the students to interact only in English and be disciplined. The students were then escorted by the class teachers to their classes. After initial introduction and settling down activities, regular teaching classes were held. It was a fun-filled, action-packed day at RPS.
